Die cutting technology is used to give various materials such as cardboard, corrugated board, paper, fabrics or other materials the right shape for further processing. Different dies are needed to stamp out the shaped pieces from the materials on a die cutting machine.

88 years ago, Karl Linhardt, the founder of Karl Linhardt Stanzformen GmbH in Dietenhofen, came up with the idea of supplying his customers with high quality dies for the packaging industry based on their own concepts and plans.
Today, the company which has 60 employees, has become by its own account “a highly innovative and expert player in the die making segment and a partner of the packaging industry.”
“Our motto “Ahead through innovation” stands for customer-focused order processing and development of technical solutions for the benefit of our customers,” says CEO Klaus Linhardt.
The first-ever production of milled steel counterplates in the industry at Linhardt was a pioneering step for the widespread introduction and application of this advantageous grooving technique. True to its company motto, Linhardt has implemented the next technical innovation with the introduction of water jet cutting technology. “Water jet cutting is particularly suitable for materials that can only be processed inadequately and with considerable cost and effort using conventional methods.”
Such materials include metals, stainless steel, stone, glass, plastics and other materials with a material thickness of up to 100 mm and a maximum format of 2000 x 3000 mm. Water jet cutting is a cold cutting method, with no thermal effect, which guarantees absolutely accurate machining.

However, Linhardt doesn’t use water jet cutting solely for in-house requirements, but also offers it as a service for companies across a wide spectrum of industries. These include machine construction and instrument making, the glass industry, the automotive, electrical and construction industries, medical technology, interior finishing, the packaging and paper industry, etc.

In future, the company plans to increase productivity further by using a large-format water jet cutting machine.
Today, exports already account for over 35 percent of total sales, and Karl Linhardt Stanzformen GmbH has already identified new sales markets in the Benelux countries, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and Italy.
