Linhardt decided to make a holiday donation to support the worldwide activities of Doctors Without Borders.
Doctors Without Borders is an international organization that provides emergency medical help around the world in areas affected by armed conflict, crisis, and natural catastrophe. It provides help quickly, efficiently, and unbureaucratically, without regard to the origin, religion, or political affiliation of the people in need. We as a company can help these individuals who need assistance, which is why we have decided to make a holiday donation to support the worldwide activities of Doctors Without Borders. The international and local staff of Doctors Without Borders currently work in around 60 countries, and include doctors and nurses, midwives, and logistics specialists. They treat sick and injured people, care for undernourished children, and help provide clean drinking water and latrines.
It costs money to provide humanitarian aid, and Doctors Without Borders receives only a small amount of its funding from government sources, so that it can help people without regard to political agendas. Only private donations make it possible for Doctors Without Borders to provide emergency help – from supporters who think across borders and see individuals in need.
